When the original electrical contractor was dismissed from this high-profile project with the job in progress, Guarantee Electrical was summoned. The stakes were high: the owner, pharmacy benefits manager Express Scripts, Inc., would lose government-sponsored financial incentives if its state-of-the-art medical prescription-filling facility was not complete by December 31, 2009.
Inheriting a partial building shell, Guarantee crews successfully played “catch-up” by continually policing open issues, flexibly realigning priorities and working above and beyond normal expectations. Its primary role involved installing power, lighting, UPS back-up power, emergency, fire alarm and data systems as well as security system raceways. Guarantee also provided design-assist services by creating field constructability drawings in support of the Tennessee-based electrical/mechanical engineer-of-record.
The automated prescription filling facility, which boasts an industry-leading 99.9% accuracy rate, presents best-in-class space supported with N+1 facility-wide emergency service back-up for up to 26 hours via a 2250kw/ 2813kva diesel generator with a 4,200-gallon fuel supply and link to a 4,000 ampere automatic transfer switch.
In completing the pressure-packed $4.3 million assignment in less than 90 day while logging more than 31,000 man-hours, Guarantee recorded no lost-time injuries.
