Ballpark Village - St. Louis' Sports Anchored Entertainment District
Location: St. Louis, MO
Client: Multiple Clients
Located next to Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO, Ballpark Village is the first ever sports anchored entertainment district and newest dining and entertainment district in St. Louis.
Guarantee Electrical Company served as the principal electrical contractor in the construction of the 120,000 square foot, 4-story facility. The Ballpark Village project involved three major tenant stakeholders: the St. Louis Cardinals, Anheuser-Busch InBev and Fox Sports St. Louis, in addition to the owner/developer, Baltimore based Cordish Company. With these and a host of smaller tenants, there were three general contractors involved:
Paric Corp., Clayco Construction, and Blanton Construction. The complex development scheme put virtually every form of construction delivery into the service mix for Guarantee Electrical, as the principal electrical subcontractor on the project. Design-build, design bid-build, design assist, traditional plan and spec as well as time & materials agreements were each called upon over the course of construction.
The fast-track schedule meant that at times, there were as many as 10 different, simultaneous electrical and systems construction projects under way—all in addition to the original core and shell assignment Guarantee took on at the outset.
