Recognizing the outstanding work, professionalism, and ingenuity of NECA member contractors, Guarantee Electrical and Federated Electrical Contractors (FEC) joint venture partner Barth Electric were awarded a Project Excellence Award for their work on the United States Postal Service (USPS) Distribution Center in Indianapolis, IN.

In an era of intensifying e-commerce demands, the United States Postal Service embarked on a highly complex, fast-track 1.2 million-square-foot regional distribution center to serve a vast area of the country. 

In all, the Guarantee/Barth team installed:
• 40,000+ feet of feeder cable
• 12,000+ feet of cable tray
• 50,000+ feet of conduit with over 150,000 feet of copper wire.
• Eight new utility services with main power panels, each with manual transfer switches with docking stations to accommodate mobile generators for backup power.
• 80 new panels
• 70 new transformers
• 2,000+ power wire terminations
• A fully functional fire alarm system with zoned paging integration.
• Rough-in for 200+ communications drops.
• 223 dock doors requiring rework modifications.
